River Suir Swim
Date: Saturday 4th of July Time: 5:15pm Venue: Sean Healy Park, Carrick-on-Suir Event: A charity swim in aid of Hospice. Distances: 500m and 750m
Entry Fee is 20 Euro and includes entry to both distance swims as well as a BBQ after. Prizes to be won for both distances.

Membership
 Calling all members! We are well into the new season so it's time to renew your membership for the year ahead. We are also eager to attract new members so if you know of anyone interested in one or all of the triathlon sports, we would be delighted to welcome them to the club. For those of you who are interested in triathlon and want to take the next step why not give Christine a call on 0861996934, email tricarrick@eircom.net or come to any of our training sessions or events for a chat. The club at present has over 80 members of all abilities in South Tipperary, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford. We train regularly in all three disciplines and organise larger club events to help you on the road to completing a triathlon. IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Comeragh Cycling League
This year's Altitude Cycle & Outdoor/Comeragh cc training league will commence on Tuesday the 12th of May for 10 weeks. Due to ongoing roadworks on both of last years circuits we have had to temporarily change both our route and sign on area, please note the following change: Sign on: Carrolls cross(At the pub) Time - 7.00pm Race starts at 7.30pm Entry €6.00 as per last year Route - See map 3 laps (40km) Note to all Triathlon Club Members - Due to circumstances beyond our control, Triathlon members will not be permitted to enter without a cycling Ireland license or by taking out a one day license at a cost of €10.00 per night. If any Triathlon member wishes to participate they must take out a CI license either by contacting CI direct and taking out an unattached license at a cost of €80.00 or through Comeragh cc at a cost of €55.00 (Including insurance). If you wish to take out one through the Comeragh Club then please contact Sinead on 087-2680088 or email sineadcpower@gmail.com before the friday 8th. We greatly appreciate your support over the last number of years and we would hate to turn anyone away however our hands are tied and any non CI members will not be permitted to participate.

Supersprint Tri Series
This very popular 4-week series begins May 2nd based at the Sean Kelly Centre, Carrick-on-Suir. The course is a 400m pool swim, 12k bike and 3k run. Registration is from 2pm on the first day and everyone has to be ready by 2:45pm. No registrations will be accepted after that time. There will be a cost involved to do the race which has not been decided yet, however it will probably be similar to last year's prices of €20 for 4 races or €8 per race. The series is for Members Only. If you have not paid your membership fee for the year then you CANNOT RACE. Prospective new members are welcome aslo.

Carrick Duathlon 2009 - Results and Race Report
The second Carrick Duathlon took place on Saturday the 21st March. Once again it was a fantastic race with some great individual performances. Race report and age group results now available.

Club Off Road Duathlon
Bernard Connolly kindly took it upon himself to organise a club Off-Road Duathlon on Saturday 7th March in Leafy Loop Woods, Durrow, Co. Kilkenny. The race was a great success and went off without a hitch. Congratulations to Vincent Power who was the first ever winner of the Club Off-Road Duathlon. Here's hoping it will be an annual event. Swimming Training & Lessons
Just a quick note to say that swimming training and lessons are taking place in Waterford every Wednesday at 9:35pm in the Waterford Crystal Pool. There are still places available. Cost is €80. Anyone interested in taking part should contact Malachy. Details can be found on the forum here.
Swimming training and lessons start in Tipperary on Sunday 24th January at 5:30pm. The cost is €75. Anybody interested should contact Tipperary area co-ordinator, Paul, on 086 4039787.

Club Christmas Night Out
Christmas comes early for the Carrick-on-Suir Triathlon Club this year! On the 15th November a fantastic night out is planned. The night kicks off with a meal at the wonderful Atheneum House Hotel, Waterford followed by a casino night, spot prizes, midnight finger food and, most importantly, lots of fun. All club members along with partners, friends and anyone else who's interested are invited. For those traveling from outside the Waterford area, or those who don't want to go home afterward, B&B is available (ask Donal or Stan for the rate). The price for the whole night (excluding B&B) is only €45. It's the best deal you'll find in the so-called "credit crunch"! Numbers have to be finalised by the 1st of November, that's 10 days time, so if you would like to go please contact Donal Jacob on 0861292724 as soon as possible.
